One fateful night, the mischievous thief Esta sets out to rob yet another unsuspecting nobleman of his riches. However, the mansion she targets turns out to be completely abandoned except for the, in her words, whiny and incompetent Yoru. Nevertheless, to her annoyance, she ends up having to take this young man along on her adventures. But despite his appearance, he might be more involved in the town's upsets than she realizes...
Why is that relevent? Because many of the legendary VNs like Fate/stay night and Ever17 are actually compatible with Windows 98. Considering that VNs are not exactly CPU heavy, I believe it would be very possible to run these VNs inside DosBox and therefore maybe even fullspeed on a faster Android device.
Explore your phone's storage with your computer, and navigate to where you want the VN saved (preferably just the root directory; meaning the first collection of folders you see). Create a folder called 'vnds', and another called 'novels'. Drag the 'novels' folder into 'vnds'. Inside 'novels', drag the 'fate' folder from step #5. This will take some time.
After 'fate' has been relocated, and the directory looks like this: 'vnds>novels>fate' , install the VNDS Interpreter apk from the Google Play store free but without save functionality or paid.
Edit: I tried what gfpaperboy22 said and all the routes seem to work for me. Here are some tips when following the directions above: Make sure to put the fate/stay night routes in your root directory, not your SD card. Another thing to note is that the folder "faterealtanua_savedata" (which should be in all three routes) should have datasu.ksd.bak, datasu.ksd, datasc.ksd, and datasc.ksd.bak. Thanks to torik0 and gfpaperboy22!
